  1. Open a web browser and navigate to the Customer Support Portal.
  2. Login with a valid Support Account.
  3. On the left pane, navigate to Updates and select Software Updates.
  1. Using the drop down arrow selection icon, select the required GlobalProtect Agent Software version.

  • Android App

How to Install, Connect, and Disconnect the GlobalProtect VPN Mac Client

Steps to Install the GlobalProtect VPN Mac Client

  1. If you have not done so, download the client from http://vpnclient.usfca.edu.
  2. Run the client. The Welcome screen displays.
  3. Click Continue. The Destination Select screen displays.
  4. Select the desired option and click Continue. The Installation Type screen displays.
  5. Click Continue. Optionally, you can change the install location.
  6. Click Install. If asked for your password, enter it and click Install Software. After installation completes, the Summary screen displays.
  7. Click Close. The GlobalProtect Home screen also displays.
  8. In the Portal field, type 'vpn1.usfca.edu' and click Connect.
  9. Next, enter your username and password in the GlobalProtect Login dialog box.
  10. Click Connect. The Welcome to GlobalProtect screen displays and your status changes to connected.
  11. You are now connected. The small GlobalProtect icon displays in the Status menu on the Menu bar.

  4. Click Connect. You are now connected to the USF VPN.
